Halloween Treat From NASA - WCHS-TV8

A Halloween treat from NASA.

Take a look of this image of the sun, it looks like a grinning jack-o-lantern.

The image was captured last week by NASA's solar dynamics observatory. The bright spots that look like the eyes, nose and mouth are active regions on the sun.

NASA said they appear brighter because those area emit more light and energy.
