MOFFETT FIELD -- The free general admission tickets for the NASA Ames Research Center open house next month are all gone, but organizers are considering whether to make more available before the Oct. 18 event.
Demand for the general admission tickets to the center's 75th anniversary celebration was unexpectedly high, they said.
The center says anyone who wants to be notified if more tickets are released, can subscribe to a mailing list by submitting an email to: http://ift.tt/Ww1QuP, or check the event site at http://ift.tt/1Ba9M47.
A limited number of backstage passes that admit visitors to specialized labs will be released each Thursday at noon until the Oct. 18 open house and will also count for general admission entry anytime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. However, the last admission for backstage events is 2:30 p.m. For information, go to http://ift.tt/1CzZ6gY.
The open house is the center's first in 17 years.
