NASA turns to crowdsourcing for nighttime photos


(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - NASA is looking for a little help, turning to the public to help in categorizing hundreds of thousands of night photos of the earth.They're hoping volunteers can identify which cities are those clusters of light shot from the space station.Nearly 20,000 images have been identified, but they need to be confirmed by multiple people.The goal is to create an open atlas of nighttime photos of Earth.
